The Booker Farm is a 17.5 acres farm, consisting of 10 acres hay field. .5 acres vegetables, wooded area, Little Limestone Creek, Deer, Turkeys, Squirrels, Ground Hogs, Turtles, few Quail, Uncompleted Walking Trail, Barn, Etc.
Hands-on-in-field instruction and demonstrations on the farm for veterans, tasks will include soil testing, planting, caring, harvesting and mentoring sessions. Veterans interested in farming will be mentored by participating in workshops and demonstrations on how to prepare soil, on how to fertilize, plant, watering, weed and use pest control, harvesting vegetable crops. Also Cover Crops seeding for Fall and Winter planting for Soil Conservation. Etc.
